Staff Accountant - Manufacturing

Our client, a growing privately held manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who wants exposure to all areas of accounting — from general ledger and reconciliations to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and audit support. It’s a hands-on position with visibility across departments and the chance to work in a collaborative environment that values integrity, teamwork, and operational excellence.
WhatYou’ll Do
As a Staff Accountant, you will support daily and monthly accounting processes while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger reporting
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, vendors, and customer accounts
- Manage employee expense reports and reimbursements in SAP Concur
- Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules and documentation
- Provide backup support for accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, deductions, and chargebacks in coordination with internal teams
- 2+ years of accounting experience (A/P, A/R, general ledger)
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; ERP experience (Sage X3 preferred)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting required;
Bachelor’s preferred - Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
