Are you looking for a challenging opportunity that leverages your technical expertise? As an Engineering Technician II, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. You’ll be responsible for constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, and maintaining our equipment, components, devices, or systems, ensuring they meet established specifications.
Mission and Business ContextThe Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn‑key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. MST supports the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial, and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering, and full‑lifecycle management across air, land, sea, space and cyber domains.
Responsibilities• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and maintain electronic and mechanical equipment and systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Operate standard laboratory and test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Perform RF testing and use network analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
• Help ensure all components and systems meet or exceed specifications.
- Associate’s degree in a related field of study and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience.
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Ability to work with standard laboratory test equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Experience with RF testing.
- Experience with test equipment including network analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Previous experience and/or certifications within the aerospace and defense industry.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with low voltage electronics.
- Soldering experience to IPC standards.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required, as the role needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process.
