What To Expect
We are seeking a motivated and energetic leader for the Facilities Operations team at Gigafactory Nevada in Sparks, NV. This individual will be playing a critical role developing and expanding a team that will manage the facilities process systems and facilities utilities areas. Responsibilities include leading and supporting supervisors, program managers, and operators to ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and quality operation of utility systems, enhancing the team culture, driving operational excellence and improving KPI and productivity measures.
In addition, a strong facilities technical background and a customer service mindset are critical to enable decision making when working with cross-functional teams such as engineering, maintenance, design, construction and quality.
What You'll Do
Manage operating status, planned/unplanned outages, and overall facility and utility operationsDevelop, oversee, and continuously improve programs, procedures, and SOPs for facility operationsSupport, train, and coach staff in operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement initiativesTesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operationsIdentify and implement building improvements and equipment modifications to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiencyCollaborate with the Infrastructure team to optimize facility systems and execute activities effectivelyChampion a high-performance safety culture while driving compliance with performance and talent management criteriaWhat You'll Bring
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience5+ years of leadership experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, solar, or battery manufacturing facilitiesExpert knowledge and application of first principlesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExtensive experience with complex facility systems, including process, mechanical, electrical, and controlsProven ability to lead multi-functional teams and operate effectively in high-pressure environments.Experience in cleanroom environments is a plusBenefits
