Position Overview:

As a Medical Referral Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating patient referrals to specialists, ensuring that our patients receive timely and appropriate care. You will work closely with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to manage referral processes and maintain accurate records.

• Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and ensure timely scheduling.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives to resolve any referral issues.
• Track and monitor referral progress, ensuring follow‑up and continuity of care.
• Assist patients with any questions or concerns regarding their referrals.

• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in EHR systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
