Network Installation Technician – Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Location: Sparks, NV

• Move and install large enterprise equipment.
• Install Fiber and Copper cabling, patch cables between equipment.
• Maintain safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
• Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
• Use material‑handling tools and equipment safely.
• Travel within and outside the regional work area; must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

• Lift up to 40 pounds regularly; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in environments operating 24/7 with primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.

• Travel to or commute between data‑center locations as required.
• Willingness to work temporarily at alternative sites during training periods or until the assigned facility is operational.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and facility status.

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ year of experience in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations.

• Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
• Industry standard certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.

Base pay ranges from $50,600/year to $113,200/year depending on geographic market. Compensation may also include equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits such as medical, financial, and other perks. For more information, see Amazon Employee Benefits.
