Job Overview

As a Technical Supervisor, you will manage the priorities and tasks of the engineering technician team. Your experience in fast-paced production lines and strong technical background will be essential. You will also focus on employee development, training, and fostering a collaborative environment. This role requires a hands-on approach, critical thinking, and effective communication with team members and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical training to technicians (8D, Kaizen, DMAIC, lean principles).
  • Collaborate with process and quality teams on projects.
  • Coordinate daily with shift managers and production supervisors to set priorities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including process engineering, equipment engineering, and maintenance.
  • Ensure technical documentation, manufacturing instructions, and versatility matrices are up-to-date.
  • Maintain Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, including safety training, incident documentation, hazard identification, and continuous improvement.
  • Report on OEE metrics (cycle time, availability, performance) and staffing needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in a production engineering role.
  • 3+ years managing teams in a production environment.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, and 6-Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
