Work closely with plant personnel to facilitate daily quality functions. Ensure procedures are followed and product testing is performed to enhance delivery of quality product to the customer.

• Follow all safety/food safety and quality rules and foster the safety/quality culture in the plant.
• Test quality, packaging, labeling specifications on product coming off the end of line for accuracy.
• Train and coach operators and packers to understand test methods and specifications to ensure accuracy and comprehension.
• Coordinate production inspection activities to ensure all lines are tested during the manufacturing process.
• Work closely with the Warehouse and Production teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects to drive cost savings.
• Oversee the quality management system and conduct internal audits.
• Place non‑conforming finished product on hold and coordinate the recheck and disposition.
• Maintain test equipment in accordance with set standards. Train others as required.
• Manage all quality reporting, retain program, and calibrations.
• Test in‑process, finished, and return products as requested. Assist in developing procedures and acceptance limits.
• Work with Purchasing to address any vendor concerns.
• Supervise the shift when the production and warehouse management team is not present.

Must have good speaking skills. Must be able to read, write and understand English. Able to edit documents for accuracy including spelling and grammar. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers and employees both in person and through written and verbal correspondence. Ability to perform duties with minimal direction and be self‑motivated.

Adheres to safety and food safety policies and procedures in compliance with Berry Global Inc. guidelines. Visually inspects the facility for tripping hazards, equipment safeguards and helps maintain a clean work environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Being mechanically inclined is preferred.

• High school graduation or its equivalent required. Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or relevant version required; certification as internal auditor preferred.
• Experience with lab testing, preferred.
• High attention to detail required performing testing in an accurate and repeatable manner.
• Prefer production or quality control experience with extrusion, flexographic printing, and/or converting processes.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to request clarification when needed.
• Ability to create and edit documents based on limited information from others.
• Ability to do functional math; adding, subtracting, multiplying and division.
• Prefer ability to perform and understand basic statistics calculations such as mean and standard deviation.
• Ability to create, edit and format documents in Microsoft Word.
• Ability to create, edit and format spreadsheets and charts in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook or similar e‑mail program.
• Prefer experience with webpages.

The physical demands include talk and listen regularly; manual dexterity required; exposure to arm, wrist and back fatigue; bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, sitting, carrying, standing in one place, reaching, pushing and pulling; a minimum lifting requirement of 50 pounds; occasional climbing/descending stairs; pushing a broom; operating a pallet jack occasionally.

Noise level is usually moderate to very loud; essential to work in a teamwork environment.
