As a Material Handler, you will be trained to drive productivity on the production line and in Tesla Warehouses for the building of Tesla’s vehicles and energy products. A/C

Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday; 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM or 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM
B/D Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday; 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM or 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM

• Locate, acquire and deliver parts to the production line and prepare shipments for offsite locations
• Stock and organize inventory
• Operate safety sensitive and heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks, flatbed carts, and more
• Load and unload material onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, pallets, conveyor system carts, balers, and/or load gratings
• Assemble crates and containers, and prepare materials for transport by palletizing, wrapping, loading, and moving
• Report accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions, and equipment damages or repairs needed to Supervisor or area lead
• Maintain exemplary attendance and punctuality to scheduled shifts

• Previous material handling experience within a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or comparable environment preferred but not required
• Ability to learn new skills and adapt to new work environments
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Open to schedule flexibility that will allow for a variety of shifts, including days, nights, overnight, and/or weekends as needed as well as potential overtime
• Comfortable driving and operating safety sensitive and heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks and flatbed carts
• Successful completion of the hands-on forklift certification during new hire training and maintaining certification throughout employment
• Ability to maintain a safe and collaborative work environment

• Ability to perform physically demanding work and repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for up to 12 hours/day over varied and uneven terrain and climbing on and off a forklift using a 3-point grasp and an 11" step
• Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs. and climb a 10” step and back down
• The ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
• Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install vehicle parts of varying size and weight overhead, accurately and in allotted time frames
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
• Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
• Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
• Demonstrated ability to handle and manipulate tooling and mechanically fasten bolts within required cycle time
• Exposure to hazardous materials used in the painting process and ability to follow waste handling/disposal procedures
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, hearing protection, full-face respirators, gloves, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
