Position Summary

Welders at NPSG Global are expected to utilize AWS standards and practices in the fabrication and assembly of steel components for NPSG Global’s customers. Welders at NPSG Global work in a collaborative, supportive, and fast-moving manufacturing environment where safety and quality are of highest priority.

• Performs skilled welding utilizing AWS standards and practices in the execution of welding projects.
• Able to consistently and efficiently delivery quality final products according to order requirements.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and work orders and consistently delivers quality welded products against technical orders.
• Visually inspects completed welds to determine compliance to standards. Makes appropriate repairs to assemblies that do not meet standards.
• Finishes assemblies utilizing buffing, grinding, polishing, covering, tagging, painting and/or packaging assemblies according to order.
• Maintains daily production logs.
• Works safely and in compliance with NPSG Global safety protocols and policies. Actively avoids and mitigates safety hazards to self and others.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• 0-2 years’ hands‑on experience welding
• Ability to read and accurately execute on fabrication designs and schematics
• Ability to accurately calculate measurements using basic math functions and tools, including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to effectively and accurately utilize common measurement tools like tape measures and calipers
• Ability to operate
• Ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated, collaborative team player
• Adherence to all Company, warehouse, and welding safety standards and policies
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have good hand and eye coordination
• Must be able to bend, squat, twist, and kneel
• Must be able to use hand and power tools
• Must be able to operate fabrication and machining equipment (e.g., mill, lathe, drill press, power roller).
