Schedule:
9am
-5:30pm Mon-Sat (Have Sundays and 1 other day during the week routating weekly)
Pay: $19.20 + $1 attendance bonus
Job Summary and Scope: This position requires a self-directed, team-oriented individual who will perform the tasks necessary to maintain the degree of cleanliness and sanitary conditions within the bakery in order to adhere to company and government requirements and ensure the highest attainable level of product safety. Potential candidates for this position must possess a moderate level of technical abilities and be capable of completing specialized safety training.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Break down, clean and sanitize food-processing equipment to perform deep cleaning.
- Perform janitorial work such as cleaning offices, locker rooms, restrooms and lunchroom.
- Wash pots, pans and utensils used in food preparation.
- Launder company owned clothing in on-premise laundry facility.
- Perform general cleaning of structural components such as walls, floors, ductwork, lights, pipes, windows, and ceilings.
- Regularly clean auxiliary rooms, structures and outside areas of facility.
- Accurately mix and safely apply cleaning and sanitizing chemicals when necessary.
- Properly operate cleaning equipment and machines safely.
- Ensure compliance with all safety programs and maintain hazard free work areas
- Use sound judgment and exercise caution to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Communicate effectively with other Team Members and across functions to support a self-directed work environment.
- Follow all requirements of SQF, FSMA, HACCP/HARPC, cGMPs, and OSHA regulations as they pertain to food safety in a manufacturing facility.
- Follow all local, state and federal regulations.
- Learn additional policies, tasks, skills and duties in support of additional food safety and quality programs.
- Adhere to other related programs including but not limited to GMPs, personnel hygiene, and allergen training.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Must possess good communication skills as well as basic math and reading skills. Must be able to interact with all bakery personnel.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Should be familiar with basic OSHA safety practices
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, manipulate (pushing, pulling) up to 100 pounds, work at high elevations, in confined areas, in extreme heat and cold and in outside conditions on a regular basis.
- Must possess the ability to learn how to operate a variety of sanitation equipment (i.e. floor scrubbers, man lifts, high pressure washers, fork trucks, etc.).
- Must possess the ability to use a variety of cleaning tools such as scrapers, air hose, ladders, etc.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass the HACCP certification examination with a score of 80%, or 90% if a retest is needed.
- Must pass Written Test for Position of Sanitor (OP SOF 2.2.1) with a 95% score to be promoted to Sanitor within the 90-day probationary period.

CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to work in a bakery/manufacturing facility and warehouse environment.
- Must be able to work with a variety of cleaning and chemical agents.
- Perform duties near mechanical hazards and moving objects and in cold storage units.
- Must be available to work any shift as scheduled.
- Available to work weekends as scheduled.
- Required overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift, twist and carry up to 50 pounds and manipulate (pushing, pulling) up to 100 pounds
- Work at high elevations, in confined areas, in extreme heat and cold and in outside conditions on a regular basis.
