Registered NURSE, Recovery Room - Per Diem

This opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient schedule. Northern Nevada Medical Center is looking for a dynamic Recovery Room Registered Nurse! You will provide direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations in the OR arena. You will address the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. This position communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition.

• Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and pain management inventory.
• Assesses operating room / procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met.
• Monitors, Positions And Assists Patient During Procedure.
• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (both accomplished in partnership with patient inside room)
• Demonstrates ability to perform head-to-toe pre-procedure assessment on all patients and reassesses post procedure as needed.
• Demonstrates ability to formulate an individualized plan of care as indicated and evaluates for effectiveness.

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in state of Nevada.
• Two years nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
