Assets Protection (AP) teams focus on keeping our guests, team members, and brand secure. They mitigate shortage risks, prevent theft and fraud, and support crisis events.

• Intelligence‑led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure.
• Crisis response, safety, and crowd management experience.
• De‑escalation tactics and physical security controls.
• Use of Target’s video surveillance system.
• Timely and accurate documentation of incidents using case‑management systems.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests at the front of store.
• Promote a physical security culture for team members and guests.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Leverage de‑escalation tactics and resources during incidents.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support.
• Prevent theft and shortage at the front of store with receipt checks.
• Submit appropriate documentation in the case‑management system.
• Use Target’s video surveillance system.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely, comply with safety policies, report hazards.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, high‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure or other legal requirements.

• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment.
• Capable of moving merchandise up to 40 lbs, climbing ladders, performing in varied temperatures.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
