Position Overview:The Electrician – Journeyman performs skilled electrical work, including the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings. This position requires technical expertise, strict adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in alignment with project specifications and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:System Installation: Install wiring, conduit, control systems, panels, and fixtures per blueprints and electrical codes.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with circuits, motors, and control systems.
Testing & Verification: Perform system checks to ensure safe operation and compliance with NEC standards.
Team
Collaboration:
Coordinate with other trades and provide guidance to apprentices.
Documentation: Complete work orders, reports, and maintenance records accurately.
Safety Leadership: Promote a proactive safety culture and enforce compliance with all safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:Minimum of four (4) years of electrical experience in industrial or commercial environments.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Experience:OSHA 30-Hour Safety Certification.
Industrial construction experience involving power distribution or process controls.
Work occurs in active industrial or construction settings and may include confined spaces, heights, and variable temperatures. Must use PPE and follow all safety procedures.
Reporting Structure:Reports to the Electrician – Foreman or Project Superintendent. May mentor and direct Apprentice Electricians.
Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and project scope, in accordance with Nevada law.
