Facilities Maintenance Technicians support maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment within the Tesla Semi facility. Facilities Maintenance Technicians utilize technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills while working as a team with the entire Facilities Operations and Maintenance departments, performing general maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.
What You’ll Do- Support all Facilities contractor scopes of work including job walks with the contractors, LOTO confirmation, scope of work reviews pre/post job, ensuring contractors follow all Tesla standards and protocols, and general contractor needs throughout the scope of work (i.e. assisting contractors in the field).
- Support all Semi facility commissioning & operational needs.
- Perform maintenance on various types of industrial equipment as needed (typically mechanical equipment).
- Utilize equipment drawings and manuals to maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
- Identify parts required for maintenance jobs and coordinate the request for various parts for jobs.
- Communicate equipment issues with leadership and drive solutions to issues.
- Display positive attitudes and practice good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company.
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years related work experience as an Industrial or Manufacturing Technician.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals, drawings, parts lists, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Must have a high degree of initiative, with the ability to work alone and effectively with other people and teams.
