Position Overview:The Electrician – Apprentice supports electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work under the supervision of licensed Journeyman and Foreman Electricians. This position provides opportunities for hands‑on training and skill development while contributing to the safe and efficient execution of industrial and commercial electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities:Electrical Installation: Assist in installing conduit, cable trays, wiring, lighting, and power systems under supervision.
Maintenance Support: Help maintain, test, and repair electrical systems and equipment following company standards and codes.
Material Handling: Organize tools, materials, and job‑site equipment to support crew productivity.
Blueprint Reading: Learn to interpret electrical drawings and schematics to assist in project execution.
Safety Practices: Follow all company safety rules and regulations, wear required PPE, and actively participate in safety meetings.
Learning & Development: Engage in apprenticeship training and on‑the‑job instruction to advance trade knowledge and skill.
Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.
Enrollment in, or willingness to enter, a state‑approved electrical apprenticeship program.
Basic understanding of electrical systems, hand tools, and construction practices.
Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn from experienced tradespeople.
Preferred Experience:Prior construction or industrial site experience.
OSHA 10‑Hour Safety Certification.
Work is performed primarily at industrial and commercial construction sites. May involve exposure to high noise levels, confined spaces, heights, and various weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around energized systems under supervision.
Reporting Structure:Reports to the Electrician – Foreman or Project Superintendent. Works under the direction of licensed Journeyman Electricians.
Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and project scope, in accordance with Nevada law.
