Mechanical Engineer - Hydraulics Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in Hydraulics to join our growing team. In this role, you will take the lead on developing and improving hydraulic systems, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving performance across key production areas.
Position SummaryThis position offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact, applying your hands‑on technical expertise in hydraulics, process development, and equipment optimization to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability in a high‑performing engineering environment.
Responsibilities- Lead hydraulic system design, testing, and implementation for new and existing production lines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic and mechanical equipment issues to minimize downtime and improve performance.
- Support new part number launches and capital projects through process development and technical problem‑solving.
- Identify and execute process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for hydraulic or mechanical failures.
- Develop preventive maintenance plans and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams on execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cross‑functional teams on hydraulic and mechanical best practices.
- Support standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
- 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience working with hydraulic systems (design, maintenance, or troubleshooting).
- Proficiency with hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, actuators, and manifolds.
- Knowledge of fluid power principles and IFPS certification (preferred).
- Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar) for mechanical and hydraulic design.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, ergonomics, and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
