What You'll Be Doing- Connecting with New & Existing Members:
Interview applicants, listen to their needs, and guide them through the mortgage process with clarity and care. - Managing the Mortgage Process:
Prepare and process loan applications, ensure accuracy, and keep things moving smoothly from start to finish. - Communication Clearly:
Keep members in the loop with timely updates and thoughtful explanations - Staying in the Know:
Stay up to date on lending policies, regulations, and the latest trends in real estate and mortgage lending. - Offering Solutions:
Cross-offer helpful credit union products and services that make life easier for our members. - Growing Our Reach:
Build mortgage business through relationships with realtors, contractors, and community connections. - Tracking Goals & Success:
Keep a sales log, set goals, and celebrate your progress as part of our driven, goal-oriented lending team. - Mentoring & Leading:
Support onboarding and training for Loan Officer I teammates - YOUR experience matters here.
- 5+ years of experience in mortgage lending; experience with secondary market lending a big plus
- Associate's degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication skills and a genuine love for helping people
- Knowledge of mortgage programs like FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and portfolio lending
- Ability to juggle details without dropping the ball
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with Microsoft Office and lending software
- Valid WI driver's license and willingness to engage with the community
