• Connecting with New & Existing Members:
  Interview applicants, listen to their needs, and guide them through the mortgage process with clarity and care.
• Managing the Mortgage Process:
  Prepare and process loan applications, ensure accuracy, and keep things moving smoothly from start to finish.
• Communication Clearly:
  Keep members in the loop with timely updates and thoughtful explanations
• Staying in the Know:
  Stay up to date on lending policies, regulations, and the latest trends in real estate and mortgage lending.
• Offering Solutions:
  Cross-offer helpful credit union products and services that make life easier for our members.
• Growing Our Reach:
  Build mortgage business through relationships with realtors, contractors, and community connections.
• Tracking Goals & Success:
  Keep a sales log, set goals, and celebrate your progress as part of our driven, goal-oriented lending team.
• Mentoring & Leading:
  Support onboarding and training for Loan Officer I teammates - YOUR experience matters here.

• 5+ years of experience in mortgage lending; experience with secondary market lending a big plus
• Associate's degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong communication skills and a genuine love for helping people
• Knowledge of mortgage programs like FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and portfolio lending
• Ability to juggle details without dropping the ball
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with Microsoft Office and lending software
• Valid WI driver's license and willingness to engage with the community
