Overview

Registration Rep-Overnight-Sparta-.7 FTE at Mayo Clinic Healthcare London. This role involves the accurate check-in/admissions of incoming patients in hospital and ED settings, with in-person or phone/virtual registrations, and ensures patient safety and proper consents in accordance with quality and productivity standards.

• Register patients accurately at check-in/admissions in hospital and ED settings (in person and/or via phone or virtual registration).
• Verify patient demographic information and collect insurance data; create or identify the appropriate patient accounts.
• Assist patients with self-registration and collect indicated co-payments and/or share of cost.
• Ensure patient safety using positive patient identification protocols and obtain required consents.
• Adhere to quality assurance guidelines and established productivity standards to support the work unit’s performance expectations.

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively; good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer/keyboard skills and intermediate mathematical competency.
• Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and phone handling skills; ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Working knowledge of scheduling systems and procedures preferred;
  Epic RC/EMR system experience preferred.
• Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Certification preferred.
