The Night Production Supervisor is responsible for directing shift personnel in the operation of the facility, ensuring the consistent manufacture of finished products that meet all customer volume and quality requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:Coordinate activities within all process areas to ensure product meets all defined scheduling and quality requirements.Work with operators to organize and maximize the inclusion of all raw materials and rework in the production process.Monitor physical characteristics hourly, evaluating products for specs, grits, flavor, density, mix abilities, and moisture to ensure finished products meet all quality specifications.Implement and enforce safety and regulatory programs for the long-term safe operation of the facility.Lead and supervise all production personnel, establishing education and development programs, including SOPs, quality specifications, safety, and job expectations.Communicate performance/KPI metrics to the team daily.Ensure inventory accuracy and complete all shift reports timely, including inventory levels, as part of the plant's KPI matrix. Coordinate record-keeping with the Production Manager, including production, quality assurance, inventory control, and production planning.Responsible for nightly production reporting.Collaborate with the Process Manager and Production Manager to evaluate production and efficiency records for continuous improvement.Assist in developing weekly and monthly production schedules and employee staffing based on business needs.Maintain and improve plant sanitation programs, ensuring the plant remains clean and orderly.Coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance with the Maintenance department.Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory policies and practices.Assist with period-end and year-end inventory balancing.Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience, preferably in a dairy processing plant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer software applications.
- Previous supervisory experience.
