Invasive Species Technician
Monroe County Forestry & Parks Department is hiring an Invasive Species Technician to manage invasive species on the Monroe County Forest. The role includes surveying, plant identification, mapping, and herbicide treatments to protect forest health.
Responsibilities- Complete invasive species inventory on forest sites.
- Survey, identify, and map invasive plant species.
- Collect and record data to identify priority areas.
- Execute herbicide treatments in identified areas.
- Experience with surveys, plant identification, Avenza Maps, Arc Map, and chainsaw operation.
- Reliable transportation with reimbursed mileage.
- Valid driver’s license and certified pesticide applicator license required.
