Youth Justice Professional

Are you passionate about empowering youth and creating opportunities for positive change? If so, the Monroe County Dept. of Human Services Children and Family Services Unit might have the job for you. We are looking for a full-time Youth Justice Professional. Successful candidates will have bachelor’s degree with a major in social work or related field. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required.

Credentialing by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services as a certified Social Worker, or candidates eligible for credentialing through another human services related field with a clearly identified path to social work licensure may be considered.

Our Youth Justice Professional completes strength-based assessments and collaborates with families, schools, law enforcement and other community partners. A Youth Justice Professional will develop individual case plans, advocate for and educate youth referred to Human Services. This position will work to reduce recidivism through evidence-based approaches. A good candidate for this position should be comfortable working with multiple partners, appearing in court and have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Working to engage the family so they can support their youth is a very important part of this position.

Starting salary for this position is $24.87/hr. for non-credentialed candidates and $26.36/hr. for certified social workers. Monroe County offers an exceptional benefit package.
