Auriga Polymers is an Indorama Ventures company, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The site manufactures and supplies PET polymers in resin and fiber form for various markets and applications. Packaging resins are used in various food and drinks markets. Specialty polymer resins are mainly used in industrial applications to produce a variety of products including fiber, geo-textile, monofilament, medical supplies, film and others.

Special nonwovens provide fiber in staple and two forms for various applications including hygiene, medical care, automotive, insulation, apparel, filtration, and construction.

This position is based out of Spartanburg, SC.

The Accountant/Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial reporting, cost accounting, and compliance activities for a large chemical manufacturing company. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, financial analysis, and month-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and support audits while working closely with cross-functional teams. This position reports directly to the Plant Controller and collaborates closely with the CFO.

• Oversee the general ledger and promote accurate/timely financial reporting alongside the Controller
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Support the Controller on limited treasury activities.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing activities, including inventory receipt and consumption of raw materials to ensure proper cost allocation. Coordinate with all production departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventories.
• Assist and coordinate physical inventory counts and routine reconciliations with logistics and production.
• Work alongside the Controller and functional teams in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Support the Controller through ad-hoc projects and collaborate with shared services.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving any discrepancies.
• Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to optimize financial performance and cost efficiencies.
• Collaborate alongside the Controller to identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting operations and internal controls.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
