We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (ACCA) who confidently executes monthly closing and financial reporting according to US GAAP and IFRS. Based on a strong accounting foundation, the role owner will also be an entrepreneurial business partner for the local CEO and other functional managers. This includes commercial validation of the accounting figures and their translation into business‑relevant information for non‑finance staff.
Bringing SAP key user knowledge to our SAP roll‑out 2026 is strongly preferred, but not mandatory. Good Excel skills are required.
The role owner reports to the local CEO and the Director Accounting of the group. The accounting department currently consists of two accountants and one accounting manager. The candidate will be the team lead. The existing role owner will be supporting in an extended transition period. After that transition period, the team will be consisting of the candidate and two accountants.
Key Responsibilities- Month end and yearly closing in local ERP and financial reporting system including constant validation and audit proof documentation for all balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries (e.g., accruals, fixed assets)
- Manage A/P and A/R reporting
- Act as first contact for statutory financial and tax audits and annual tax declarations
- Oversee and validate daily bookkeeping and closing routines, including:
- Checking and booking customer invoices (including dunning); first contact for sales department
- Checking and booking supplier invoices (with and without PO); review and process payment runs
- Booking bank statements and daily balance checks
- Validating external payroll
- Support SAP rollout in 2026
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Strong accounting foundation and leadership experience
- SAP key user knowledge (preferred for 2026 SAP rollout)
- Advanced Excel skills
