Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited ALA library school.

Must pass pre-employment testing.

• Provides superior customer service with information requests, reader’s advisory questions, computers, and printing and copying.
• Collaborates with community partners, patrons, and other staff to plan, organize, promote, and present relevant, innovative assistance and programs for patrons.
• Selects and maintains our Periodicals collection, including newspapers, magazines, reference materials, and professional publications, and acts as an expert in that collection. This will involve regular collaboration with the Collections Management Department.
• Handles financial transactions and assists in preparing bank deposits.
• Participates in maintaining an attractive department including maintaining and promoting collections, displays and signage.
• Serves as Librarian-in-Charge when assigned.
• Remains aware of safety and security issues and takes appropriate action as needed; rovesthe library to maintain awareness of patron needs and security.

• Master’s degree in Library Science from an accredited ALA Library School.
• Community focused, patron oriented, desire to provide excellent customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with technology and ability to guide those with various levels of understanding.
• Ability to establish deadlines, monitor progress, and work well with a team.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive to other libraries or community outreach.
