Tuesday 4pm- 8pm;
Wednesday 4pm- 8pm;
Thursday 4pm- 8pm;
Friday OFF;
Saturday 1pm-5pm
Combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of tenth grade. Must be at least 16 years old.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Arranges materials in alphabetical and numerical order on carts
- Shelvesnewitemsand returned materials and empties book drop
- Searches foritems on daily hold requests lists and for lost or missing library materials
- Performs shelf reading for accuracy,straightening and dusting shelves asneeded
- Communicates and listens to other staff to perform job dutiesandassistsstaffas needed
- Performs minimal clerical and computer tasks
- Responsible foremail communication and checking the Intranet regularly for announcements
- Responsible for closing tasks which include re-shelving materials left on tables or carts,straightening chairs, taking items to lost and found
- Provides genera land directionalassistanceto patrons
- Assistswithshifting the collection as needed
- Remains aware ofsafety and security issues, taking appropriate actionas needed
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of tenth grade.
Mustbeat least
16 years old. - General knowledge ofthe procedures,practices and equipment of a public librarywithbasic computer skills
- Ability toworkindependently,quickly and accurately with attention todetail
- Abilitytounderstand and follow instructions verbally and written
- Ability to adapt to newtasks with skill and ease
- Ability to interact with patrons in a positive, courteous manner and direct patrons to library staff
- Familiar with Dewey Decimal systemandable to alphabetize and arrange items numerically.
- Observant and security minded.
- Ability to exert
20lbs. of pressure to pushcarts loaded with books - Ability to stoop,kneel, crouch, and reach to shelve library materials
- SCPL uses multi-factor authentication for network and program access. Employees mayberequiredto use their personal device for MFA.
