The company continues to innovate their product lines and are looking for a senior-level, hands-on Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to take charge of new circuit designs, prototypes, and production hardware. Your expertise in analog and digital circuit design will be invaluable as the company brings their next generation innovative products to market.
Job Function:- Manage / Lead a team of 5+ Engineers.
- Develop and manage the overall circuit design/layout, schematics & component selection, and PCB layout design at a board levels which support embedded controller, power, USB, analog & digital devices and communications protocols...you're designing essential the motherboards with embedded controllers for next-gen equipment for the company.
- Work to launch prototype hardware through next levels of production launch.
- Develop new designs of boards with electrical functionality with a focus on architecture, performance, efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineers to debug and ensure the functionality of working hardware and to ensure that product specifications are met.
- Conduct Design Reviews with Peers and Managers on the topic of Hardware Architecture, Design, Planning, Testing & Validation.
- 5 to 20 years of experience in electrical / electronics hardware development
- BSEE or MSEE degree
- Expertise in PC board layout and routing, with a preference for mobile devices (including Power Management, Battery, Bluetooth, USB, digital & analog circuits)
- Strong experience in Testing, Validation, and Debugging of hardware
- Knowledge of FPGA's is a plus.
- Experience managing other Engineers work is a plus but is not required.
- Understanding and ability to understand software / feature need relate with software engineers on microcontroller firmware (RTOS and embedded
C) - Hands‑on engineering ability and exceptional problem‑solving skills
- Experience to document engineering analysis and design decisions
- Proven ability with board bring‑up and troubleshooting activities
- Understanding of Interference such as EMC, understanding of standards such as UL, CE, FCC is beneficial.
- Position is near Columbia SC - company provides relocation assistance
- Assistance with H1B transfer if needed.
