• Engineering & Project Leadership:

  • Lead and perform electrical engineering and automation design for all aspects of projects with limited guidance.

  • Develop and lead plant expense and capital projects .

  • Prepare and review technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes.

• Systems and Equipment Management:

  • Maintain and upgrade the site's electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems .

  • Design, integrate, install, and support manufacturing equipment,
    control systems, and data acquisition systems .

  • Modify electrical control circuits and PLC/HMI programs .

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide support for unplanned, planned, preventative, predictive, and corrective electrical maintenance .

  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and control system breakdowns in a 24/7 operation.

  • Determine root cause failure analysis and develop corrective action plans.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Partner with Health, Safety, and Environmental teams to ensure compliance and execution of electrical safety initiatives , including the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.

  • Compliance with all safety/environmental standards, and promotion of safe work practices.

Required

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally 2 to 5 years).

• Demonstrated experience with electrical power distribution, equipment, protection, and sizing , including the engineering and implementation of 480V and 4160V Power Distribution Systems .

• Strong,
  hands-on experience in maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of PLC systems .

• Proficient in Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI applications (including programming) and communication within enterprise/control networked systems.

• Practical experience in Allen-Bradley AC variable speed drives .

• Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD) and the ability to read and interpret electrical and control drawings.

Preferred Skills (A Plus):

• Experience in polymer science or textile manufacturing.

• Experience with
  Industrial Database systems (Wonder Ware) .

• Knowledge of Siemens PLCs and Sieman variable speed drives/European control schemes.

• Experience with VMWare, Servers, and Thin Clients technology.

• Six Sigma, SPC, Lean, 5S, and TPM applications.

• Six Sigma Certification.
