Financial Manager II – FP&A

The Financial Manager II – FP&A provides leadership, management, and coordination related to the month-end close process, including forecasting and variance analysis. This role involves developing and maintaining skills in financial analysis, long-range financial planning, budgeting, and decision support. The manager directs the preparation of financial plans aligned with historical trends, strategic growth projections, and inflationary assumptions. This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a healthcare-related field

• 5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting-related function

• Proficiency in Excel and a strong understanding of database programs

• Master’s Degree in Healthcare, Accounting, Finance, or Business-Related Field

• 8+ years of experience in finance, decision support, or a related field, including at least 2 years in a healthcare setting

• Promote a culture of initiative, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Assist in preparing long-range financial plans through analysis of historical performance and strategic assumptions, collaborating with financial leadership
• Produce, review, and analyze monthly financial statements with variance explanations; recommend corrective actions
• Translate complex data into strategic insights and prepare presentations for finance leadership
• Stay current on relevant accounting and healthcare issues, including regulations
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and systems
• Perform leadership duties related to operating budgets, including tracking changes and auditing
• Manage staff productivity and performance
• Proficient in Excel, Power Pivot, Power BI, and other analytics tools to support organizational goals
• Demonstrate project management skills and knowledge of accounting principles
