As a Financial Systems Intern at American Credit Acceptance (ACA), you'll gain hands-on experience with the technology and data that support our Finance and Accounting teams. You'll work alongside Financial Systems professionals and collaborate with teams across Finance, Accounting, IT, Audit, and Data to solve real business problems and improve how our financial systems work.

This internship is designed to provide meaningful, practical experience. You'll learn how enterprise financial systems operate, develop analytical and technical skills, and contribute to projects that have a real impact on the business.

As part of the Financial Systems team, you will:

• Build working knowledge of ACA's Workday ecosystem, including Financials Core, Prism, Reporting, Accounting Center, and Adaptive Planning.
• Partner with Financial Systems team members and business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and data.
• Assist with gathering, documenting, and translating business needs into clear requirements for system enhancements.
• Support the testing and implementation of Financial Systems configuration changes and enhancements.
• Help investigate data issues, identify root causes, and work with appropriate teams to develop solutions.
• Explore data sources and learn how information moves between financial systems, integrations, and ACA's data warehouse.
• Contribute to the design, development, testing, and implementation of system integrations and automated processes.
• Use data and analytical tools to help identify opportunities for improved accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
• Create clear documentation, procedures, and supporting materials that help business users understand and effectively use financial systems.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity about technology, data, finance, and how systems work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with people across different teams and areas of expertise
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities
• A customer-service mindset and willingness to help solve problems
• Motivation to learn new technologies and develop new skills
• Ability to explain ideas and analysis clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Experience in the following areas is helpful, but not required
:

• IT, accounting, finance, or financial statements
• Workday or other enterprise financial systems
• Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Alteryx or other workflow automation tools
• Data analysis, reporting, databases, or programming
