Schedule:

8‑hour shift (6:45 am‑7:30 pm Monday‑Friday) with weekend shift (9:30 am‑3:30 pm)

Assists the Pharmacist in the following areas:

• Customer satisfaction
• Processing medication orders
• Preparing and delivering medications
• Completing inventory control functions
• Additional assignments given by Pharmacy Managers

• Registered as a pharmacy technician with the SC Board of Pharmacy
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification and State Certification within 2 years of hire

• High School Graduate (or GED)
• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
• 2 years’ experience preferred but not required
• Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience of 1 year (Clinical Area) or Retail Pharmacy

• Follows attendance, dress, education (including continuing education), and safety policies
• Complies with regulatory agencies’ requirements (e.g., DHEC, DEA)
• Retrieves, packages, and labels all medications accurately for routine deliveries
• Prepares deliveries to go out on time, ensuring medication and document accuracy
• Fills medication bins accurately and timely for Cart Exchange
• Responds to STAT medication requests promptly
• Packs medications for Unit Dose Delivery
• Fills Department Requisition s
• Disburses controlled substances in accordance with legal requirements, including labeling and record‑keeping
• Stocks and checks assigned pharmacy areas for out‑of‑date medications
• Processes Crash Carts timely and accurately
• Restocks automated dispensing cabinets
• Other duties as assigned
