We are looking for a Sales Representative. The right candidate’s primary responsibility is to manage the sales process while delivering excellent customer service. The Sales Representative will continuously source new customers, help them find and design their dream home, and ensure a smooth sales process from start to finish.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Effectively communicate D.R. Horton’s value proposition, product vision and capabilities to potential customers.
- Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges, then position D.R. Horton as the best solution.
- Overcome objections and close sales.
- Maintain accurate documentation of transactions from sale through loan, options and construction.
- Continually source new sales opportunities.
- Create and provide a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships.
- Network and perform outreach to realtors.
- Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals and work effectively with team members.
- Maintain and expand a database of prospects.
- Attend sales meetings.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors and teammates.
- Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase company goodwill and profit.
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years of related experience.
- Must have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license and be able to drive day and night.
- Ability to use D.R. Horton sales applications on a smartphone, tablet or laptop.
- Ability to follow written, oral or application‑based instructions using common sense.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours, sit for extended periods, kneel and bend, walk stairs and uneven terrain, use hands for handling and reach, speak and hear, and lift up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color and peripheral vision.
- Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Noise level is generally moderate.
- Licensing requirements vary by state.
- Prior CRM software experience.
- Previous sales experience and knowledge of the industry preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
