- Conducts required planned and corrective maintenance to building surfaces, fixtures, systems, and equipment.
- Completes electrical and plumbing system planned maintenance
. - Completes carpentry related duties, masonry work, and repairs sheet rock.
- Performs minor paint jobs and other related tasks as: preparing surfaces for painting by patching plaster holes, sanding, scraping, or masking.
- Performs necessary manual labor to keep housing projects in a decent, safe, and sanitary condition including picking up trash and debris.
- Ability to enter work orders into the agency's computer programs.
- Participates in the emergency stand-by/call back rotation schedule.
- Performs mechanical tasks as repairing and/or replacing space temperature and HVAC equipment controls.
High school diploma or GED, or trade/vocational school certification; with a minimum of 3 years of experience in skilled trade, building/facility maintenance or other related experience in a skilled maintenance capacity. Any combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the requirements of the position.
Must have general working knowledge of all maintenance crafts, including basic HVAC knowledge. HVAC certified is a plus.
