Grant-Funded Program Assistant, Civic Engagement

Black Hills State University is seeking applicants for a Program Assistant I in the Center for Civic Engagement

DUTIES :

• Assist the Director in all aspects of the Center.
• Process hiring requests for faculty, adjuncts, staff, and work-study students.
• Track budgets and oversee funds used for purchases, invoices, and travel expenses.
• Assist the Director with grant reporting requirements.
• Purchasing and encumbrances, invoicing/accounts payable. Request for pay.
• Organizing travel and reimbursement for faculty, students, etc.
• Meeting organization and minute taking.
• Detailed data entry and recordkeeping.
• Marketing for the Center for Civic Engagement, the Center for Faculty Innovation, and the Sim Civics grant program. Create Power Points and flyers.
• Provide updated website information to the marketing department.
• Respond to queries by faculty, staff, students, and the public by phone, email, and in person.
• Maintaining calendars for both centers and grant activities.
• Coordinate operations with staff in other areas; other duties as needed.
• Creating and revising office procedures for efficiency.
