This role focuses on coaching and operating management for store teams, ensuring high performance, customer service excellence, and financial success. It involves teaching training, listening to associates, providing feedback, and driving continuous improvement.

• Lead and develop teams by teaching training and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
• Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
• Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
• Model exceptional customer service standards and support customer service initiatives, including community outreach programs.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues, develop action plans to correct deficiencies, and provide process improvement leadership.
• Drive financial performance by reviewing and evaluating PL statements, managing budgeting and forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation.
• Support inventory flow, operational processes, and develop plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
• Supervise and develop hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set clear expectations, recognize associates, and promote a belonging mindset.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support Walmart’s mission, values, ethics, and integrity through the Open Door Policy.
• Build high‑performing teams, embrace diversity, and create a welcoming workplace culture.
• Act with integrity, maintain standards of ethics and compliance, and promote a regenerative company impact.
• Serve customers and members by putting the customer first and applying data‑driven decisions.

• 2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training for firearm‑selling facilities.
• Current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility for facilities that sell only ammunition and have state‑specific requirements.
• Completion of all required job trainings and assessments.

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership.
• Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership.
• Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
