TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION

The Speedway United Methodist Church Child Care’s mission is to provide a safe, ministry-centered, developmentally appropriate, quality, faith-based childcare and preschool program that aligns with the mission of Speedway United Methodist Church: “to make disciples of Jesus Christ by being Spirit-Powered and Revved Up to share the love of Christ near and far.”

Speedway United Methodist Church Child Care (SUMCC) staff embody discipleship principles and a team approach. We seek staff that can support parents by establishing good rapport, positive methods of communication, and mutual care practices for children. Our staff supports their team, parents, and the community with a passion for ministry and a love for Jesus.

Since SUMCC has recently achieved Paths to QUALITY Level 2 and is actively working toward Level 3, we are excited to expand our team. We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and organized teachers who feel called to serve in our faith-based preschool and childcare ministry, where the focus is on preparing children for success in kindergarten and beyond. Our students often carry the impact of our teachers with them as they continue to grow academically and spiritually within the community.
