General PurposeAs a member of Store Leadership, the Area Supervisor is responsible for opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and executing company operational processes.
Essential Functions Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments- Safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors.
- Maintains awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment.
- Responsible for building security including entrance/exit control, EAS device checks, cash office security, and armored carrier pick‑ups.
- Removes clutter, ensures safe egress, and maintains customer safety and emergency procedures.
- Tests all fire alarm systems and responds to after‑hours alarms when requested.
- Treats all customers, associates and leaders with respect.
- Demonstrates courtesy, friendliness and professionalism at all times.
- Recognizes associates using company recognition programs.
- Represents and supports the company brand at all times.
- Maintains professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code.
- Keeps all store areas clean, well‑maintained and merchandised to standard.
- Responsible for daily trash removal.
- Ensures recovery, sizing and markdowns are completed to company standards.
- Responsible for receiving merchandise trucks when needed and processing all merchandise with urgency.
- Manages inbound deliveries, clean stockrooms, and back‑stock security.
- Performs floor moves, promotional signing and re‑wraps as needed.
- Understands the Loss Prevention Awareness Program and maintains a customer service presence on the sales floor.
- Demonstrates integrity, safeguards confidential information, and keeps the PVM system maintained.
- Conducts package inspections and executes company best practices.
- Trains and coaches associates on cash registers, shortage control, and front‑end procedures.
- Maintains pace and presence on the front end, managing lines and expediting customers.
- Controls associate break schedules and keeps all equipment functioning.
- Teaches associates the “Scan and Bag” best practice and ensures salability of merchandise.
- Maintains and cleans fitting rooms, audits garment tags, and ensures go‑back compliance.
- Cash pulls and bank deposits conducted to policy.
- Front‑end control for refunds, approvals and breaks.
- Payroll administration including daily punch edits and scheduling compliance.

- Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
