** Position Highlights
**** Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
**** Responsibilities:
*** Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assemble of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions
** Requirements:
*** HS diploma or equivalent required
* One year experience in central sterilization or hospital related field that would provide a background in medical terminology, sterile technique, or applied medical supplies and equipment preferred
* Possess good communication skills and contribute to completing the required work of the team
* Possess good decision-making skills, organizational skills, and able to adapt to change and flexibility
* Detail oriented

* Schedule:

**
* ** 63 or 72 hours per pay period:
*** 63 hrs: 7-9 hour variable day/evening shifts Mon-Fri per 2 weeks
* 72 hrs: 4-9 hour variable day/evening shifts Mon-Fri per week
* Mon-Fri shifts vary from 6:30a-7p
* On-call week nights - 1 night per week when fully staffed
* Every 5th weekend on-call when fully staffed
* On-call holiday rotation
* The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
