** Position Highlights
**** Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
**** This position is located in the Abben Cancer Center a department of Spencer Hospital.
**** Responsibilities:
*** Assists patients in getting ready/changing for their radiation treatments
* Provides assistance to Radiation Therapist and CT Sim Techs with treatment procedures
* Helps with patient flow in/out of vault for treatments
* Cleans patient care areas and prepares rooms before and after patients
* Maintains a clean, organized, and therapeutic patient environment at all times
* Answers Radiation Oncology phone and directs calls as appropriate
* Schedules Radiation Oncology follow ups
* Imports, prepares and maintains medical record for patients
* Maintains patient confidentiality, including protection of the medical record, order communication data and all other verbal and written patient information
* Assists with the transfer process of patients within the hospital and to external facilities
* Participates in departmental cleaning activities as assigned
* Follows appropriate cleaning standards including sanitation standards
* Provides for appropriate transporting and re-stocking of supplies and other items related to department and patient care needs
** Requirements:
*** Medical certification required: CNA, CMA or an alike health professional certification
* Minimum 2 years healthcare experience
* BLS required or willing to obtain upon hire - Inhouse education available
* Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems

* Schedule:

*** 64 or 72 hr per pay period
* Mon-Fri; 8a-4:30p
* The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
