RESPONSIBILITIESAS THE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)
- Planning, directing and organizing health services of the Nursing Home in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines
- Provide evaluation, training and consistent oversight of caregivers and work assignments
- Assist with internal and external marketing and events to meet occupancy goals
- Ability to build effective working relationships and a positive team atmosphere with people of all backgrounds
- Possess initiative, good judgment and leadership ability to work well with the community, residents, families and staff
- Possess understanding and compassion for the elderly population
- Graduate of a state board approved LPN program
- Currently licensed as an LPN in the state of Iowa
- Experience with long‑term care programs
- Successful completion of LPN Supervisory course within 6 months of employment
- One year of supervisory experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Heart for working with the elderly
