** Position Highlights
**** Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
**** Responsibilities:
*** Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assemble of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions
** Requirements:
*** HS diploma or equivalent required
* One year experience in central sterilization or hospital related field that would provide a background in medical terminology, sterile technique, or applied medical supplies and equipment preferred
* Possess good communication skills and contribute to completing the required work of the team
* Possess good decision-making skills, organizational skills, and able to adapt to change and flexibility
* Detail oriented
*
* Schedule:

*** 36 hours per pay period
* Shifts primarily on Mondays & Tuesdays
* 6:30am start time (shift length can vary 8-12 hours)
* Ideal candidate would have availability in addition to work in times of planned PTO coverage and last minute needs
* 1 weekend call per 6 weeks when fully staffed
* On-call holiday rotation 1-2 per year
* The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
