C & B Operations, LLC has grown over 35 years to include thirty‑six John Deere dealerships across six states. The company is hiring a Sales Representative in Spencer, IA. The role involves maintaining customer information, managing company vehicles and equipment, demonstrating new gear, monitoring customer business trends, evaluating equipment for trade purposes, and staying current on financing options. The Sales Rep will attend training events and seminars.
Key Responsibilities- Develop relationships and expand customer pipelines.
- Implement strategies to increase sales and profit by prospecting within the defined territory.
- Create customer‑specific proposals based on detailed needs analysis.
- Conduct market research to produce competitive comparisons.
- Develop and maintain expertise on industry trends and best practices.
- Maintain sales management information for all customers in the assigned territory.
- Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
- Monitor trends in customer business activities and provide timely communication to management.
- Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and evaluate equipment properly for trading purposes.
- Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
- Attend applicable sales training events and seminars.
- Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience.
- Experience developing and winning new business in a highly competitive environment.
- Self‑driven to prospect, cultivate, and close new business opportunities using effective questioning skills.
- Exceptional communication and sales presentation skills.
- Reliable and builds trusting relationships with all kinds of people.
- Unwavering integrity and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to travel across the assigned sales territory to grow business relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to meet physical demands required for the role.
- Previous sales knowledge and experience with agricultural and outdoor power equipment strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
