HVAC Controls System Coordinator – Sioux , IA

This is a full-time position in Sioux City, Iowa. You will report to the Temperature Controls Manager. The HVAC Controls System Coordinator creates Building Automation System (BAS) drawings using AutoCAD. Tracks, maintains and updates as needed the department’s SharePoint job folders with the latest job information. Obtains the licenses for the global controllers (JACE’s & ACM’s) and the tech computers in the department.

Procurement of material and supplies for the Temp Control Department jobs, writing purchase orders for technicians and maintaining stock parts for day-to-day activities. Maintaining and tracking job hours weekly for the Temp Control Department.

Designs controller layouts, analyzes jobs input/output sheets to create the AutoCAD drawings.

Coordinates with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure control systems are accurate and up to date.

Assists in the selection and procurement of control system components and materials.

Creates O&M submittals by combining TC drawings with data sheets.

Maintains up to date job information (drawings, submittals, specifications, etc.).

Maintains detailed records, including wiring diagrams, control schematics, and software configurations.

Tracks and manages the department's owned tools and equipment.

Communicates project updates and timelines to project managers, department managers, and field technicians.

Orders material for Temp Control jobs.

Conducts inventory checks for material and supplies used for day-to-day activities.

Checks vendor pricing and availability on parts.

Keeps tabs on ordered parts for Temp Control jobs (delivery and arrival dates).

Experience in AutoCAD.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and control system software tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work on-site at client locations as needed.

May require lifting, standing, or working in confined spaces.

Travel to job sites and occasional after-hours work may be necessary.

Knowledge of building automation or HVAC controls (i.e., Tridium, Siemens, Honeywell, Alerton).

Experience with energy management systems.

Knowledge of HVAC mechanical best practices for HVAC control systems.

Experience with control system programming (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Alerton) is a plus.

Experience in HVAC, electrical, HVAC controls, or related field or equivalent experience is a plus.
