Manufacturing Engineer

• Follow and enforce all safety procedures and proactively raise safety concerns.
• Own and oversee the Finishing processes (Current: Slitting and Laminating | Future: Zund cutting and Wabash press).
• Operate finishing machinery directly when necessary to support production.
• Record, track, and analyze yield and scrap data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase yield, throughput, and consistency.
• Develop and refine finishing processes using Lean and Six Sigma methods.
• Collaborate with Quality to investigate and address nonconformances and recurring issues.
• Support operator training, documentation of best practices, and process standardization.
• Provide input into equipment maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
• Cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to align finishing processes with organizational priorities.

• B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on manufacturing experience (roll‑to‑roll or web converting preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and data‑driven approach to process improvement.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.
• Effective communicator, with ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Demonstrated ability to balance hands‑on execution with engineering analysis.
• Proficient in Excel, data collection, and reporting tools.

Physical requirements:

able to push, pull, or lift 50 lbs; able to wear a respirator as needed.
