** Primary

Purpose:

** The primary purpose of this position is to perform set up operations of the powder coat department and perform powder coat operations in the manufacturing of skylight component parts according to production standards and plans.
*
* Primary Responsibilities:

*** Prepping parts for powder coating.
* Operating manual electrostatic guns to apply the powder.
* Operator in the powder coating process.
* Maintain and operate powder coat booth, dryoff and cure ovens and pretreatment system.
* Performs work according to Job Instructions (J.I.’s) assigned to the position.
* Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met.
* Performs cleaning and maintenance using 5S practices.
* Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision and Team Leader.
** Secondary Responsibilities:
*** Operate, monitor and maintain equipment (automatic guns, part conveyor system, ovens, and pretreatment system.
* Inspect parts for compliance to quality standards.
** Standard Work Schedule****:
** Friday - Sunday 6:00am – 6:00pm
** Hourly Pay Rate****:** $24.77 - $28.28 - $1.00 shift differential included. (Compensation based on work experience and skills).

* Qualifications:

*** High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
* Minimum of one to two years of previous work experience.
* Technical ability to escalate issues when identified.
* Must be able to pass medical respirator test.
* Must be able to wear dust respirator while in powder coat booth.
* Experience in a production environment is required.
* Powder coating operation and experience is preferred.
* Must be able to work in high heat temperature area.
* Forklift certification is preferred.
* Must be able to read and interpret daily production plans.
* Must have good organizational skills and be self-motivated.
* Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
* Understanding of metric measurement systems is preferred.
* Experience reading and utilizing blueprints is preferred.
* Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
* The desire and ability to work in a team environment demonstrated through a positive quality, safety, attendance and good work history.
* Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.
