• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, orders or other records.
• Understands and completes all required paperwork. Turns paperwork into appropriate location.
• Understands proper use of inspection required list.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and overhead crane for loading and unloading trucks and moving product.
• Responsible for dock audit (visual final inspection) prior to product shipping.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on containers or parts.
• Stage material for rod and barrel areas. Brings in pallets, boards, and racks for the paint area.
• Knows part number and storage locations.
• Knowledge of proper storage areas for all product.
• Performs all computer functions necessary to clock in and out of jobs and verifies payroll hours.
• Maintains proper indoor and outdoor cleanliness and order.
• Ability to problem solve with minimal supervision.
• Understanding and compliance of the ISO system.
• Continuously looking for ways to improve the shipping/receiving area.
