Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks & Civils

We are working with a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor for their Aberdeen operation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality groundworks and civil engineering packages across the region.

You will take responsibility for the commercial management of groundworks and civil engineering projects from pre-contract through to final account.

• Commercial management of groundworks and civils packages
• Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
• Valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and variations
• Measurement and valuation of works on site
• Identifying, pricing, and negotiating variations
• Managing commercial risk and opportunity
• Producing accurate cost and value reports
• Working closely with site engineers and project managers

We are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have hands-on experience within groundworks and civil engineering projects.

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor role within groundworks or civils
• Strong knowledge of construction measurement and commercial processes
• Experience with NEC and / or other standard forms of contract
• Good understanding of earthworks, drainage, concrete, and infrastructure works
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site-based team
