Our client school in the Ferryhill area is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant / Nursery Nurse to work in their Nursery provision. This is a great school with a fantastic and supportive headteacher, and for the right person, this could become permanent.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting children within the classroom, including working with small groups independently
- Assessment:
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils - Classroom Management:
Create a safe, stimulating, and positive learning environment where all children feel valued and encouraged to succeed - Safeguarding:
Uphold the school's robust safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all pupils - Collaboration:
Work effectively within a team, share best practices, and communicate effectively with parents and carers
- A recognised qualification for supporting children within EYFS
- Proven experience of supporting within a primary school setting
- A strong understanding of the EYFS Curriculum
- Excellent behaviour management skills with a calm empathetic approach
- Commitment to continuous professional development and contributing to school life
