GSL Education Newcastle branch are looking to appoint Teaching Assistant (TA) for amazing schools in Darlington
. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who can work closely with teachers, provide effective classroom support, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.

The TA is going to offer the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to pupils' academic, social, and emotional development while gaining valuable experience within supportive school settings.

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils where required
• Encourage positive behaviour and active participation throughout the school day
• Assist with preparing classroom resources and learning materials
• Monitor pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment

• Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible, reliable, and willing to adapt to different classroom environments
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

As part of this role, a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection is required. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
