This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to reach their full potential both academically and personally.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work, or similar settings).
  • Is patient, compassionate, and adaptable.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Can remain calm under pressure and respond positively to challenging situations.
  • Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

What We Offer
  • A supportive and friendly school environment.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Competitive rates of pay.

  • Dedicated support throughout your placement.

If you're committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential, we'd love to hear from you.
