Primary Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Ferryhill, Durham
Support, encourage and inspire pupils every day.
Protocol Education is partnering with primary schools in Ferryhill to find dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistants for full-time roles beginning in September.
You'll be working closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils make progress academically, socially and emotionally. From classroom assistance to targeted interventions, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference to children's school experience.
The Role- Full-time
- September 2026 start
- Monday-Friday
- 8:30am-3:30pm or 8:30am-4:00pm
- Term-time only
- Long-term role with permanent potential
- Supporting pupils throughout classroom activities
- Assisting with learning across the curriculum
- Delivering interventions to individuals and small groups
- Providing one-to-one support
- Working with pupils who have SEND
- Helping teachers prepare learning materials
- Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience in a primary school
- A strong understanding of classroom support
- Excellent communication skills
- A caring and patient nature
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- A team-focused and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
